Only 5 star as I train between 1-5am. Can't speak for the evenings but at what looks like a grenade has been thrown into the weights area downstairs then I'm guessing it's rammed on an evening but the live it option they do is great as you get use of the body composition scale which my previous chain gym didn't offer so thumbs uo
My car window got smashed and the car broken into last Saturday. They stole my phone and wallet. I was parked in the car park. I have reported the incident to personal trainers at the gym on two occasions and requested CCTV footage twice of the individual who broke into my car. I have no reply from a member of management at the gym. There is also no landline number to contact the gym so twice I have had to go in to the gym to talk to somebody only to find no management to talk to. It is a poor reflection of the gym that my car got broken into in the middle of the day but an even poorer reflection that they have failed to get in touch with me about the incident.
Great gym but it is ridiculously busy during peak times, which also means no parking. It doesnt help that some members double park, and even block up routes.the drinks machines are also troubling, they are very temperamental and stop working if you press a button too quickly.
My friend isn't too confident in the gym, therefore I was teaching him a bit about fitness until I was rudely interrupted by a personal trainer because he wanted the training area. To be fair this is unacceptable as we both pay a membership fee to workout and shouldn't be interpreted so someone else can work there. That's not equal nor is it fair. Broad Street gym has never done that to me yet Hagley gym did it the first time we came.
Good location but difficult to park lately due to construction work. The equipment doesn't get cleaned often and the mats used are in need of replacement. The classes here are very good with a great range of variety and the trainers are great at their jobs. The membership is more expensive than other similar gyms around Birmingham . The whole place needs a bit of an update and it would be so much better and would feel more worth the money paid into the membership.
